STAINLESS STEEL SA-351 CF8M

Stainless Steel (SA-351) CF8M is a molybdenum bearing modification of CF8 Austenitic Steel alloy and is the cast equivalent of wrought AISI 316 stainless steel. The presence of molybdenum increases the general corrosion resistance and the resistance to pitting by chlorides (Salts)

Applications include valves, flanges, fittings and other pressure-containing parts. CF8M austenitic stainless steel is a commonly used alloy for products that require excellent overall corrosion resistance to corrosive liquids. This alloy is commonly used whenever the part will not be welded or can be solution annealed after welding. CF8M may be used at temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F)
