A milestone in our commitment to continued quality – ISO9001

ISO9001:2015

Ocean Footprint is very happy to announce that we have reached a milestone in the implementation of our ISO 9001 quality assurance system. This morning we formally have adopted the ISO9001:2015 process into place and from this point have agreed to adhere to our quality manual.

“…to be very best we can, whilst offering the very best in value…”

In a specially convened board meeting, this morning the directors unanimously accepted the ISO9001:2015 manual and agreed to implement its processes into effect to help drive a commitment to continual improvement

ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to. It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001

This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits

“Our customers will be the main beneficiary of this process”

The ISO 9000 family addresses various aspects of quality management and contains some of the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) best-known standards. The standards provide guidance and tools for companies and organizations who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements and that quality is consistently improved.

“This is a milestone in the implementation of our long term quality strategy…”

In summary Charmain Roper an Ocean Footprint director and the company ISO9001 quality manager said “This is a milestone in the implementation of our long term quality strategy to be the very best we can, whilst offering the very best in value”, she finished by saying “It is an honour to be working with Lloyds Register to achieve the certification as a body so respected in the maritime industry for assurance of quality. To have a member of the board running our quality system shows our commitment to putting our customers and products first in the line of our priorities”
